A little while back I mentioned a study about links on the internet. The one person who replied agreed with the study and I am slowly working through the website changing the links. Thank you for your patience.

Pirate Party UK

The Pirate Party UK's Blog entry post election (I found it interesting and so here is part of it. Dated 7th May 2010 by John Barron)

"After a lot of hard work on all sides, we've just fought our first election as the UK pirate party. Across 9 seats, by my calculations we polled 0.34%, for a total of 1340 votes. Our best result was in Manchester Gorton, where our candidate Tim Dobson polled 236 votes for 0.62% of the vote. Before this election, we didn't know what level of support we could expect. Nor did we know how to organise ourselves, or how to navigate the election requirements and comply with the law. So this has been a tremendous learning experience for everyone involved ..."

Cities of London and Westminster

ship
If you wondering what happened in the Cities of London and Westminster ward - Conservatives got in, but looking at the election results any area with people with money were voting in the blues.

For the two different pirate candidates, I thought you might like to hear how they did.
Jack Nunn of the Pirate Party UK got 90 votes (0.2 of the number of votes cast)
Mad Cap'n Tom the Independent candidate got 84 (0.2 of the number of votes cast)
So both candidates lost their deposits.
