At the Windsor Festival Justin Somper asked who was our favourite characters and why?
So here is your chance to answer his question via the contact (squeak) page.

Though the more I read and think about Vampirates, I feel more love for Jez. Alright, he was mean at one point (desperately trying to not produce a spoiler here), but Jez has a lot of potential, and I think in the future Jez will become a much more prominent character (hopefully anyway) ^_^
my favourite character is Lorcan he is always so kind he tries so much to protect the one's he love's and cares for. Also the drawing on the first page of the book reveals even more about how mystical and nice he is and just how a man(boy)like him should be!!
Definitely Johnny - he was a really good character, and it was sad to see him turn evil. Him and grace became such good friends as well, and I thought their friendship would continue as she learnt so much about him through the ribbon
my favourite character has to be midshipman Furey. The reason why is because he is sooo cute.plus grace and him make a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L couple. I wonder if his ring that he gave to grace was a symbol of his love for her. Well i got to just wait and see.
My favourite character is Sidorio, because he's an intriguing, cunning rebel and the greatest vampire since Lestat (from Interview With The Vampire).
I've got to admit though, Lorcan is the most gorgeous vampire I've ever seen and he's my second favourite character. I still love all the other characters though- except Shanti. Shanti is unbelievably irritating! Whining screamy girly girls with attitude drive me insane.
My fav is Lorcan Furey! ;-) he is soooo cute!!! I would love to see Grace and Lorcan become a couple. He is so sweet on girls on the nocturn I'm not surprised Grace blushed when Darcy was talking to her about him in Demons of the Ocean. I can't wait until Blood Caption comes out in my area on March, 26th.

My favourite character is Lorcan Furey too, because he is so mysterious. In the 1st book I was just itching for Grace to ask him about his past but sadly she didn’t get around to it (oh well there are the other books!) I also really want to know about his ring, I always wonder if maybe it is a wedding/engagement ring, or perhaps a family heirloom. Another reason I really like Lorcan is because he is so caring he is really protective of Grace, and I thought that was really sweet. To me all of that made him seem really romantic. Over all Lorcan is my kind of guy!
For anyone who has viewed the lookalikes pages you may have guessed my answer and why. Anyone who knows me well, knows I love my men with long well kept hair. So just opening the first book, I wanted to know more about Lorcan Furey, on discovering he had the same romantic traits as my Hubbie, just reminds me why I fell in love with my him and married him.
My favourite character to play has to be Ma Kettle. I really enjoyed playing her for the Windsor Festival as we were asked to come as pirates. She can show her demonstrative side without anyone getting upset. My Granny (my favourite relative) always made sure everyone was well fed and watered, after visiting her I always left feeling really stuffed, so I thought of her character when playing Ma Kettle.
"I can't really have a favourite amongst my own characters - that's too hard! Though I guess it would be fun to meet Ma Kettle and have a drink in her tavern. Come to think of it, I sort of did that already, didn't I?!"
