"Book Four is called BLACK HEART. Current plan is to publish in January 2009. A bit of a wait, I know, but the good news is that there will be an extra book in 2009. This will be a collection of the Crossing Stories, compiled by Grace through her many meetings and talks with the Vampirates.

As part of Norfolk's Monster Festival of Children's Books, Justin Somper was at Waterstones in Castle Street.
The winners of the Tempest Twins compertition, I managed to win another copy of Dead Deep so four winners.

Our signed Vampirates book competition winner is Sailor Black Anne Read, Well done. Thank you everyone who contributed. I tried to do it as randomly as possible, all entries were on the same size paper, folded in the same way and then my youngest pinkie, Swabbie Calico Bess Flint, mixed them up, put them in the tankard and then picked one out.

Justin Somper was in Norwich Waterstones signing books and meeting his fans after school in the children's department.
Justin Somper appeared at the annual Windsor Festival. He read parts of Blood Captain, answered questions and signed books in between everyone having some pirate fun. Justin Somper appeared at the first Bath Festival of Children's Literature. Justin said, "I'm really excited about the new festival. An incredible line-up of authors are taking part and as well as doing my own event, I'm looking forward to seeing some of my own favourites in action.
